Actor Anthony Hopkins asks Snoop Dogg which NFT to buy but also he asked for advice from Reese Witherspoon and Jimmy Fallon so let’s have a closer look at today’s latest cryptocurrency news.

The actor Anthony Hopkins was an early Web3 adopter and released “Zero Contact” last year with the NFT platform Vuele. He was one of the first Hollywood stars to get into the NFT film space and now he seems ready to dive deeper into the NFT world as he shared his Ethereum Name Service name and asked fellow celebrities for advice. The Oscar-winning actor changed his Twitter display name to AHopkins.ETH which is an ENS name that points to a crypto wallet and it is common to move for people in the NFT world and adopted by other public figures who are in the space like TV host Jimmy Fallon.

Alogn with the Twitter profile, Hopkins tweeted to other Web3 celebrities for their recommendations on NFT artwork to purchase. He added:

“I’m astonished by all the great NFT artists. Jumping in to acquire my first piece, any recommendations?”

Fallon responded:

“I love your pondering photo. There [are] a bunch of great artists out there and it’s a fun community in general. But, as the great Aaron Neville once said ‘I don’t know much – but I know I love you.’ And that may be all you need to know. DM me.”

Hopkins’ tweets yielded thousands of other engagements and the reactions from Twitter users included much excitement from NFT enthusiasts that sought another high profile entertainer to explore the space alogn with the crypto critics mocking the actor for showing interest in the space. The NFT works like a proof of ownership to an item and represents digital goods like artwork, video game items, and collectibles. The film and music industries are adopting NFT increasingly with both established artists and emerging ones entering the space. Hopkin’s proejct Zero Contact was released last year via Vuele which is a platform that releases film projects in the form of NFTs. Vuele bundled film with more content along with some exclusive opportunities like Q&A sessions.

Some notable filmmakers like Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino also made moves in the NFT space. The ENS name AHopkin.sETH was purchased back in May but the wallet associated with the name has yet to purchase NFTs. However, since Hopkins advertised the wallet via his Twitter name, it sent a couple of NFT images from random users which often happens with wallets from celebrities and brands. Snoop Dogg is a notable NFT collector who owns images from the BAYC and other projects so he also released NFT himself in partnership with The Sandbox and the Nyan Cat meme. Dogg claimed to be Cozmo de Medici who is a pseudonymous NFT collector that has a valuable collection of NFTs.

Fallon is also an owner of NFTs in high-profile collections like Moonbirds and Bored Ape Yacht Club. Witherspoon advocated for Web3 as well.
