Sandbox surges 10% after Elvis Presley, “The King” entered the metaverse in a collaboration with Elvis On-chain hoping to bring the king of rock and roll into the virtual world so let’s read more today in our latest altcoin news.

The partnership includes Elvis Presley Enterprises and the Web3 studio Runi it Wild that spawned the project this year. In addition to the Sandbox, the partners include Dappraft, Decentraland, Voxel Architects, and Meta key. To celebrate Elvis Presley’s birthday, the Genesis Key NFTs will be minted as an all-access pass on the Elvis On-Chain metaverse that will launch on June 1. The Sandbox is creating Elvis avatars with partners like Voxel Architects and they will be used in the new metaverse space which will be a meeting place for Elvis fans across the world. Users can technically become “The King” in various formats in the new realm where they are able to interact with others and trade digital memorabilia. According to the NFT Culture Adam De Cata added:

The COO and co-founder of The Sandbox Sebastien Borget added:

The Elvis Block Party will be hosted on Decentraland after the genesis NFT mint and will also be a Guinness world record attempt for most Elvis impersonators in one place in the Metaverse. The attendees will be able to put on Elvis wearables that include his jumpsuit and styled wig while at the same time, the holders of the Elvis Genesis Key NFTs will be awarded officially licensed as Elvis Decentraland wearables. The native token for the Metaverse project surged by 20% in the past 12 hours on the announcement but slightly retraced after. SAND reached an intraday high of $1.52 before going back to $1.40. the Metaverse token jumped by 23% in the past week and moved in the opposite direction to most assets. It acquired Uruguayan tech company Cualit last week which added more momentum. SAND is now trading 83% down from the November ATH of $8.48 as per CoinGecko. Decentraland’s MANA token got boosted 9% in the past 12 hours and reached $1.11 before pulling back.
